The inspiration for many of my stories come from where I grew up - the beautiful Shenandoah Valley. The majesty of the mountains and the small town life has cultivated both the heartwarming and the hair-raising stories that fill both the screenplays and my novels.

Look at that handsome face right?
My love for writing can best be attributed to my mother. Mrs Yost was a beloved figure in the community, owning a popular high-end gift boutique with clients spanning from dedicated locals to esteemed senators and congressmen. She pursued her love of art and design. Her love for the creative arts was passed on to her children.

A proud John Handley High graduate and VMI Keydet - sports and stories always filled my life.
It may have begun with my father, who put a full concrete basketball court in our backyard for me to play. He coached our little league baseball team and encouraged my participation in football. For his efforts in the local community, Winchester named Yost Field in his honor.
My love of team sports has a major influence on my writing. The excitement of the game, the tension when the score is tied, the agony of defeat when the team has given their all - I've lived it and I pour it into my stories.

When I am not working on my next screenplay or novel, I run a successful real estate business. I strive to provide quality homes for young families and empty nesters in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley.
I enjoy meeting my readers at local author events. I am active within my community. You won't find me missing the annual Apple Blossom parade, Winchester's most popular event.
I would be remiss if I didn't mention my beautiful family. I am the proud father of my son -Jacob Yost, a prominent physical therapist, and my daughter CeCe Yost - a Wilhelmina model and now dedicated palliative care provider.
